1. Sales Performance
Report: Total Sales Per Month for Current Fiscal Year
This report tracks Closed Won opportunities grouped by Close Month within the current fiscal year. Each row represents one month, and the Amount field is summarized as a Sum showing the total revenue generated per month. This helps identify which months performed best and reveals seasonal patterns or growth trends.

— Salesforce Report — New Opportunities (Detail View) —
📊 Dashboard Component: Line Chart
Months displayed on the X-axis; Total Sales Amount on the Y-axis. Each data point represents the sum of Closed Won opportunities for that month. A line chart is ideal for visualizing trends — whether sales are growing, declining, or seasonal across the full fiscal year.
2. Customer Behavior
Report 1: Top 10 Customers by Total Sales Amount
This report identifies the most valuable customers by grouping Closed Won opportunities by Account Name and summing the Amount field. Results are sorted in descending order, and the dashboard widget limits the display to the top 10 accounts. This helps quickly pinpoint which customers are driving the most revenue.

Report 2: Average Sales Cycle Length
A custom formula field calculates the number of days between Created Date and Close Date for each opportunity. This is then averaged per Account Name. A shorter cycle indicates faster conversions; a longer cycle may signal complex negotiations or deal friction.
📊 Dashboard Component: Bar Chart
Account Names on the X-axis; Total Sales Amount on the Y-axis. Each bar represents one customer, making it easy to visually compare revenue across the top 10 accounts at a glance. The widget is configured to show only the top 10 values, sorted descending by amount.
3. Team Productivity
Report 1: Last Quarter Opportunities by Sales Rep
This two-level grouped report shows how many opportunities each sales rep created and advanced during the previous fiscal quarter. Grouping first by Opportunity Owner and then by Stage allows evaluation of both the quantity and the quality (stage progression) of each rep's pipeline activity.

— Dashboard — Last Quarter Opportunities (Stacked Bar Chart) —
📊 Dashboard Component: Stacked Bar Chart
Sales Reps on the X-axis; Number of Opportunities on the Y-axis. Each bar is divided into colored segments representing different stages (e.g., Closed Won, Open, Prospecting). This format makes it easy to compare total opportunity volume per rep while also revealing the distribution of stages within each rep's pipeline.
4. Pipeline Overview
Report: Pipeline by Stage (Open Opportunities)
This report filters to Open opportunities only and groups them by Stage. The Amount field is summarized as a Sum, showing the total dollar value of deals currently at each stage — from Prospecting through Proposal/Price Quote and beyond. This gives full visibility into where deals are progressing or getting stuck.
— Salesforce Report — Pipeline By Stage (Open Opportunities) —
— Dashboard — Pipeline By Stage (Funnel Chart) —
📊 Dashboard Component: Funnel Chart
Pipeline stages displayed top-to-bottom, widest at the top (earliest stage with most deals), narrowing as deals progress toward close. The size of each section reflects the total Amount at that stage. A funnel chart visually exposes drop-off rates between stages and helps identify bottlenecks in the sales process.
