Hey everyone, just thought I'd drop a value post from all my experience and the experts I work with in the social media space.
π If you want to grow organically on Instagram, you need to do the following, esp. if you're under 10,000 followers:
- Post consistently (at least 4-5x / week) - you'll probably have sucky content at first, but who cares, no one will see it or remember it anyway... you need to develop your skills, your style, etc. and that will never come from overthinking... only from ACTION! π
2. Post very PERSONAL content frequently on your stories. Don't just re-post 100000 memes from other creators and annoy your followers with an endless story stream... talk to the camera, give short, succinct updates where your personality can shine.
3. For both of the last two points, make sure to TAG people and places... i.e. if you're wearing a Tommy Hillfigure shirt and you're at Dodgers Stadium, TAG them! Seriously. You'd be surprised how many times my gym, apparel companies, etc. have reshared my stuff.
4. Engage in the comment sections of BIG accounts that you admire & are in your "space." So if you're in business for example, go to Alex Hormozi's comment section, like people's comments, go to their profile, like a couple of posts, make a thoughtful comment on one or two, and most importantly:
5. DM PEOPLE AND DBW = DON'T BE WEIRD lol. Say hi! Tell them you like connecting with like-minded people and saw their comment on Hormozi's post and thought they had cool content. PERIOD. Don't start spamming what you do and all your links. Build real connections, ask them where they're from and why they do what they do, and then the rest will take care of itself.
I hope that helps! π€·ββοΈ
