We're kicking off the winter landscapes course in one hour at Sam's Art School, and I'm really excited about this one.

It's a simple landscape from Queenstown, New Zealand, but I think it's going to make an excellent painting, and we can use a bit of artistic license as well.

So we're working on this beautiful snow scene with its crisp winter light, and an atmospheric sky that makes winter landscapes so compelling.

I'll walk you through my design process and composition choices
You'll see my painting framework in action on a winter scene

I've also uploaded a short video explaining my design process for this painting, so you can watch that beforehand if you want to come prepared. I'll dig deeper into the design process during the live class.
