NORTHERN CLIMATE FOLKS! Need your advice. What is the consensus on clearing brush in the winter time?
New the group here. I am a father-son duo (I am the son) at Brush Boys in southeast Michigan. We are at the end of the season here, so we will be purchasing our Bobcat T770 with Fecon head before end of year. We have 3 jobs booked for April/May to start the 2027 season. We are under the assumption that we cannot operate during the winter due to it being so wet and muddy. Even if it's frozen hard, once you bring the machine in with the amount of heat it generates it would make the ground muddy, destroying the customer's yard, and will create problems for the machine. Is this the case? Honestly, I hope you all tell me that you have successfully done jobs in the winter, but am doubtful it is an option.
