My diet
okay so i've been asked recently quite a few times about my diet and what kind of diet i follow. now i have frameworks in the meal idea classroom so if you're trying to understand what kind of diet you should do or what kind of framework you should be on if you're trying to bulk, cut, or just want some cool meal ideas, that's definitely the class you should visit. as far as my diet i really don't follow one. i just have a framework that i follow. my framework i'm following is a cutting framework and i just kind of eat the same thing all the time. i try to stick to: - fruits - eggs - vegetables - beef - chicken - fish - rice - potatoes very very basic simple things. for me honestly between running this business, running my personal training business, helping with landscaping, i'm doing multiple things across the board. i'm very very busy. i don't have 45 minutes or an hour to make a meal every single day so i have to stick to what i know is easy, simple, gets my protein in, and tastes pretty good. i just keep on moving throughout my day. that's kind of what i follow and that's what i recommend a lot of athletes follow anyway because you're going to spend more time thinking about what to make than you are actually eating that food and making it. for all my athletes who are training two or three times a day, going to the gym every single day, and they're super super busy, it's very very easy to just make the same thing over and over again and add some different sauces and some different seasonings to it to make it a little different. otherwise i kind of just stick to those main principles and i eat the same thing all the time. i did this while i was training because i was always on the road training and practicing and playing so it was just made a lot more sense for me to do that.

Doctor Visits for knee pain
Okay so I got a question the other day from one of my players and he has knee pain. We've pretty much determined he has patellar tendinopathy but he was asking me if a doctor visit is worth it. Now before I get started, yes, doctors do help and doctors are always worth a visit. Just keep in mind that doctor visits are there to help fix the problem; the way it is now. They're not there to strengthen it. They're not going to give you a program; they're going to give you some medicine; they might give you an ointment; they might give you a brace for whatever may be. They're not going to actually go through the process of rebuilding your knee and trying to figure out why it is the way it is and what's actually going wrong. Yes, doctor visits do help when there is severe pain and if something's torn, of course go see the doctors. If it is broken, of course we see the doctor. Just keep in mind that to actually get the knee stronger and to rebuild it, you have to follow a program. That's why I'm building the program into the recovery classroom. I'm using programming from Dr. Aaron Horshig, Dr. Kevin Sonthana, and from my own programming I use while playing overseas. That's getting released this week. Just keep in mind that doctor visits are helpful but they're only there to solve the pain now. They're not there to solve the long-term problem, which is getting your knee stronger. So make sure you check out the Recovery Classroom for the knee programming

When to do outreach
So I've gotten the question a couple of times about when you should start reaching out to colleges. I released a video in the Pathways classroom that really goes in depth about this process. Go watch it This will only apply to the Highschool ballers specifically. As far as my internationals and My already collegiate players looking to transfer. I will make a separate post and video explaining that process. So to make this a quick read. There is no right or wrong answer of when to reach out to colleges. But the best time to start reaching out is beginning of sophomore year, end of freshman year. So 9th & 10th grade. This is because this gives you plenty of time to be in a system or on a radar, and with consistency coaches may see your name more than once. Which if you're a good player, you'll stand out. Colleges plan 1-2 years in advance for their teams. Which means if you dont start reaching out until Junior or Senior year (like me lol) You'll most likely get overlooked. This is because they already found their players and offered/signed players from that graduating class. Not saying if you do wait, you won't get seen or signed. But why would you hinder yourself like that when you can start right now. You probably won't receive an offer until junior/senior year. But you would've already done 2 years of just outreach and messaging coaches that message you back and just building relationships. All while keeping them updated on your progress as an athlete. So reach out the sooner the better. Go to the pathways classroom and build your CV's, Highlight Video, and Use the email template I provided. Use those all as starting points!

How to land a Contract!!!
Okay so I’ve been asked this a couple of times. How I landed my contract and what are the things I did. It’s much easier than you think. So I’ve determined that this is broken up into three parts. (Posting, Outreach, Consistency) 🎥 POSTING YOURSELF — You have to post yourself. That’s the fist step, post everything. Your highlights, your clips, your training sessions, your workouts. Everything. Put yourself out there. Let people know what you’re trying to do. Most of the time you don’t get any backlash, you just don’t get any support. But who cares. They don’t see your vision 📧 OUTREACH — This is the first step into building your network. You have to email, call, text, email, dm, etc… I would email probably thousands of coaches, agencies and teams. I’d also just show up to their training sessions. I’ve shown up to 3 USL 1 training sessions and just asked to join. You’d be surprised when they say yes. Same with colleges. There’s no harm in asking and just showing up. Don’t be afraid of telling everyone. ❗️❗️CONSISTENCY — This is arguably the MOST important step. You have to do the other two and do it all the time. It doesn’t matter how good you are, if nobody knows WHO you are. Most players will do the first two for a few months and then give up when there’s no results. It took me 2 and a half years of consistency to achieve my contract. Consistency in all aspects, my posting, my filming, my emailing, my training, everything. If you can’t be consistent you’ll never have a chance ⏰ ONE LAST THING — Yes the steps are very simple, but don’t confuse simple with easy. This will take a lot from you, you will have to sacrifice a lot. It’s going to be hard and you’re going to want to quit. It’s very important that you keep pushing and keep being consistent. One day at a time. The one day, it’ll all pay off. You’re just one phone call away, one video away from changing your life and signing a contract. It happened for me, it can happen for you…. Answer below what you want me to talk more about!!
