So if you've been doing our April challenge, it's going to consist of stretching every single morning, every single night, for at least 10 to 15 minutes, or just quiet time. That's one thing I can't stress enough for recovery. No matter what you're doing, whether you're an athlete, whether you're a desk worker, whether you have a real job, well no matter what you do, if you're a human being and you're working out and you're active, you need to be stretching every single night or at least every single morning.
It just helps the body relieve tension, relieve pressure, get you feeling better. You won't wake up as stiff if you stretch at night and go to sleep. You won't be as stiff in the morning when you wake up. if you stretch in the morning time after you wake up as well, You won't be so stiff throughout the day. You'll get moving a lot faster and get orientated a lot quicker.
Stretching before bed is honestly one of the ultimate recovery techniques you can use as a player or person who is working out intensely or competing at a high level to keep you level with the game and keep your body and mind all flowing together. That way you're not going through your day super stiff, only stretching for 5 minutes before training or before your workout. Please please please make sure you stretch in the mornings or at night. Ideally you want to do both but at least do one of them.
