MUSICIAN'S FRIEND IS GETTING A SERIOUS MAKEOVER

I expect that most of us know that Musician's Friend is owned by Guitar Center. If you didn't know that, you're welcome.

Musician's Friend is getting a serious makeover. Guitar Center is "relaunching it as the go-to online discount outlet for killer deals on premium gear."

Says Gabe Dalporto, CEO of Guitar Center: "Premium gear gets discounted somewhere -- overstock, open-box, discontinued models. Today, it's scattered across marketplaces and clearance racks.
