📘 Morning Mindset (November 26, 2025)
Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 258.6 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 12,461 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: None 🍽️ Calories: ~2,000 Yesterday was a really good day. Got a ton of things done around the house, started easing into the Thanksgiving mindset, and even got some of the prep work underway. Today will be more of the same — puttering around the kitchen, getting things organized, and taking my time with it. I took the day off, and I’m glad I did. Not worried about much beyond getting my steps in each day. The push-ups and sit-ups can wait until after the weekend. Right now it’s about enjoying the stretch of days ahead, with kids coming in today and family drifting in and out through Sunday. Nothing but fun — and that’s exactly what it should be. Blessed and happy. Life is good. Better than I deserve. Quote of the Day: “Success is not just about winning; it's about the lessons learned through the journey.” — Unknown And this journey — messy, full, loud, seasonal, imperfect — is still one I’m grateful to be on. 🦆 #OFJ

📘 Morning Mindset (November 25, 2025)
Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 260.3 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 5,164 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: None 🍽️ Calories: 2,000 Yesterday was another day where the steps didn’t quite happen. Just busy, busy, busy — one of those sit-in-the-office-and-grind days that seems to swallow hours without warning. Ended the night uptown watching the Christmas tree get lit, which was a nice pause in the middle of the chaos. But overall, it was another full, hectic day. Today the focus shifts a bit. Thanksgiving is coming fast, and I need to get some shopping done this afternoon. Not stressing about perfection this week — just trying to keep things moving in the right general direction and not lose myself in the holiday whirlwind. Life is good. Blessed. Just wishing for the pace to ease off even a little. Quote of the Day: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.” — Japanese Proverb Progress isn’t always pretty. What matters is getting back up — every single time. 🦆 #OFJ

📘 Morning Mindset (November 24, 2025)
Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 261 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 4,257 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: None 🍽️ Calories: Over Yesterday wasn’t much to write home about — low steps, over on calories, and not a whole lot else. But today feels different. I finally feel good enough to get back to it, and that’s the only direction that matters. Thanksgiving week is here, and I’m not going to pretend I’m going to micromanage calories with a straight face. But the structure can come back. So the goal for this week is simple:12,000 steps a day. Push-ups. Sit-ups.Hit the basics. Control the controllables. Move the body. Let the rest fall where it falls. Life is still incredibly good — blessed in more ways than I deserve — and now that the worst of this sickness is fading, it’s time to do my part again. The busy will always be there, and this past stretch has been rough, but feeling better means no more excuses. Back to work. Quote of the Day: “Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.” — Arnold Schwarzenegger This past month wasn’t pretty. But here we are — still in the fight, still moving forward. 🦆 #OFJ

📘 Weekly Commitment (Week of November 23, 2025)
Last week’s numbers: 🪶 Weight change: +2.2 lbs (260.5) 🚶‍♂️ Steps: No 12K days 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: ❌ None 🍽️ Calories: Over several days Rough week. Honestly, it’s been a rough month. I was sick again, didn’t hit steps, didn’t get workouts in, and the calories slipped more than once. Between the hunt, the customer event, getting sick, and then trying to recover, it’s been a stretch of weeks that hasn’t felt great. The good news: I’m finally feeling a lot better. Not 100% yet, but enough to get myself moving again — and enough to be realistic about what this week looks like. This is Thanksgiving week, and the plan needs to match reality. I’m not going to punish myself or try to force a “perfect” diet while the house is full of kids, grandbabies, friends, and nonstop cooking. That’s not the point of this week. But I am bringing structure back where it matters. This week’s plan: - 🚶‍♂️ 12,000 steps every day starting today - 💪 Push-ups & sit-ups Monday–Friday - 🍽️ Calories: Be good when it’s easy to be good; don’t stress when it isn’t - 🧠 Prioritize movement and consistency over perfection This week’s calendar: 🦃 Sunday: Friendsgiving 🍽️ Monday: Dinner with friends 🛒 Tuesday: Thanksgiving shopping 👨‍🍳 Wednesday: Start prepping and cooking 🦃 Thursday: All-day cooking 🎄 Friday: Decorate for the Christmas party 🎉 Saturday: Christmas party 🏡 Sunday: Everyone heads home 📋 Work only the first couple days of the week It’s going to be a full, busy, fun week — and one that shouldn’t be defined by calorie numbers. The focus is simple: walk every day, get the strength work in, stay present, and enjoy the people around me. Back to structure. Back to movement. Back to normal. 🦆 #OFJ

📘 Morning Mindset (November 23, 2025)
Yesterday’s Stats: 🪶 Weight: 260.5 🚶‍♂️ Steps: 6,235 💪 Pushups/Sit-ups: None 🍽️ Calories: Over It’s been a continued fight these last few weeks. I’m still not feeling fully myself, and it’s showing in the numbers. Yesterday wasn’t a great day on steps, calories, or workouts, and this cold hanging around hasn’t helped anything. But it is what it is — a rough patch, not the end of the story. I’m ready to start tightening things back up again. I want to get the steps back to where they should be. This past month has been stagnant, and I’m not thrilled about that. Thanksgiving week is coming, and trying to micromanage calories on Thursday is probably a fool’s errand, but that doesn’t mean the whole week has to go off the rails. So the plan is simple:Push-ups. Sit-ups. Steps. If I hit those, I’ll count it as a win for now. Still blessed, still grateful, still pushing forward — even on days where the engine doesn’t feel like firing. Quote of the Day: “Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines.” — Robert H. Schuller A setback is just information. Adjust and keep moving. 🦆 #OFJ
