Career Prompt Reflection
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I hope your week has started with the right energy and insights! I have a prompt for you this morning to stimulate you in your career reflection. Lately on social media, I observed a strange/silly behaviour: people who glorify themselves because wearing multiple hats. Do you know?! When someone does many things at once generally speaking s/he doesn't do anything well. They couldn't never been the best at anything but only generalist in many things. In our culture lately we also tent to confusing term: multitasking, for example, doesn't mean wearing different hats, it means, in a given contest or situation, to be able to organise ownself time and resources for efficiency. For example an ICU nurse taking care of a sick patient, is not a multitasking nurse because of managing different things at the same time (monitor, ventilation, syringe pumps etc) but s/he is a specialised nurse, because she's been trained to take care to complex patients, and so s/he multitasking in that give moment (during shift). This is why, in normal condition, it is one nurse per patient! This is the reason why specialised nurses earn more than general nurses or specialised doctors earn more than general practitioner. And this is true for any profession (layers, accountants, etc) So my question for you is: if you have a problem or a need, that you need to solve as soon as possible and well, would you go to the specialist or to the generalist? Who would you prefer to take care of you? And most importantly: would you prefer spend more money once and be sure that your problem or need is addressed properly, or do you prefer spend less money but several times and risk that your problem or need would never be solved? This question should drive your career decision. Why? Because is the same question that your patients/clients ask themselves when they decide to give their needs (or money) to you. That's true, get specialised requires time and effort but it is a commitment that repays so much in the long run!

I hope you’ll find these sessions useful, this is my community service. Volunteering has always been part of who I am. I volunteered with the Italian Red Cross for 11 years, and I’ve served my community since I was very young. For me, this is also a way to serve God. Then life happened. I had to leave my country, and I found a different way to continue serving. Since 2014, I’ve been supporting international nurses to move abroad safely, strategically, and successfully, through Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Along the way, I studied and researched international nursing, nursing migration, and international recruitment, and I became known as the person nurses go to for guidance in this space. Later, I also trained in career coaching and leadership, which is why today I support nurses who want to accelerate their careers abroad with structured coaching and guidance. And my commitment didn’t stop there. In 2024, I joined Nurses In Charge Inc., a nonprofit based in Florida serving 17 countries, and I volunteer as Regional Director (Europe). That’s why I created this community within Skool platform: to offer a space where I can provide free support to IENs, while also offering professional services to nurses who want personalised help. So here we are. Inside this community you have access to: - A safe space to connect and learn from each other - Free resources and free challenges - Free quarterly Q&A sessions - Free quarterly group coaching sessions, directly led and supervised by me

What is the Best Platform for Nurses?
Hi guys, how are y'll? I was reflecting on what it is the true game changing Social Media for Nurses, as throughout the years I have changed or switch for many of them based on my career interest. To be honest with you, as probably other people of my age, I've started using Social Media with Facebook and, to be honest with you, most out of curiosity than for career progression! I joined MySpace in 2007 but didn't much, then Facebook in 2008 and, a few months after, I've joined LinkedIn as well in 2008... but... while I've became active on Facebook (more for sharing event like Drama Reppresentations or Music Concert), I left my LinkedIn profile collecting dust and silently forgot about it. MySpace profile is probably still there but I don't use it from ages. Throughout the years I've joined other social media like IG, YouTube and Pinterest and I've became more and more active on Linkedin! For my surprice, I've joined TikTok just this months and it feels so strage. I never though that TikTok was useful in therm of career progression and, to be honest, I am still think the same... BUT.....(BIG FAT BUT!) tik tok is useful for Entrepreneurship. Let me explain: TikTok is a place where people go to find distractions from the bourden of life, and because Entrepreneurship is founded on the capability to solve problems, Entrepreneur (like me) should use TikTok for discoverability. So many Nurses are on TikTok, scrolling and watching to destress and decompress, so I've came to the conclusion that TikTok is a good place to reach new people. It is also very fast and volatile so it is important create good content to be seen. But regardless discoverability and vanity metrics, I beleave that the best platform for Career Progression and Business expantion is and always will be Linkedin! LinkedIn is the place were Magic happen because is though from relationship and for "Shaking Hands": No fluf, no Hate, but Reasoning, Professionalism and honest, generous Relationship!
