Career Prompt Reflection
Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! I hope your week has started with the right energy and insights! I have a prompt for you this morning to stimulate you in your career reflection. Lately on social media, I observed a strange/silly behaviour: people who glorify themselves because wearing multiple hats. Do you know?! When someone does many things at once generally speaking s/he doesn't do anything well. They couldn't never been the best at anything but only generalist in many things. In our culture lately we also tent to confusing term: multitasking, for example, doesn't mean wearing different hats, it means, in a given contest or situation, to be able to organise ownself time and resources for efficiency. For example an ICU nurse taking care of a sick patient, is not a multitasking nurse because of managing different things at the same time (monitor, ventilation, syringe pumps etc) but s/he is a specialised nurse, because she's been trained to take care to complex patients, and so s/he multitasking in that give moment (during shift). This is why, in normal condition, it is one nurse per patient! This is the reason why specialised nurses earn more than general nurses or specialised doctors earn more than general practitioner. And this is true for any profession (layers, accountants, etc) So my question for you is: if you have a problem or a need, that you need to solve as soon as possible and well, would you go to the specialist or to the generalist? Who would you prefer to take care of you? And most importantly: would you prefer spend more money once and be sure that your problem or need is addressed properly, or do you prefer spend less money but several times and risk that your problem or need would never be solved? This question should drive your career decision. Why? Because is the same question that your patients/clients ask themselves when they decide to give their needs (or money) to you. That's true, get specialised requires time and effort but it is a commitment that repays so much in the long run!

Holding multiple titles or roles does not necessarily reflect the quality of one’s expertise. While pursuing diverse experiences and qualifications is absolutely legitimate and can be personally fulfilling, there is no real need to emphasize them excessively. Ultimately, what matters most is the ability to address problems effectively, rather than the number of labels one carries.
Tired Morning
Ehy Guys, this is a Skool Community! It is not LinkedIn and it's not Meta! Yes it is about Nursing Career and career value, but I think we should have some fun alongside! ... I mean, look at my face this morning! You can't see but I have a hot water bag behind my back! A 60 yo lady is more awake and agile than me! 😅 I should catch up with University but instead I am looking for wearable hot water bags that have pockets, searching on Amazon while waiting my infusion is getting ready. For sure this is not the kind of post that I can put on LinkedIn! What do you think? Do you think that is nursing that reduced me like this?! 🤣🤣🤣

I think you've been stressed out a lot with all the commitments you're facing. Try to unplug for a whole day: I just mean rest for 24 hours!!!!!! Only YOU and YOUR BED.
New features in SKOOL Communities
Hello beautiful people, today for me is a day for resting and recharging, meaning I am in bed trying to feel my soul and my mind. The beauty of doing what you love is that even when you are recharging you working and when you are working you recharging. The "Rest" component is that I can do it in bed and on my time! I truly find exitment and joy when I read and talk about NURSING! I also find joy and anticipation when I engage in Dialectic in and new Ideas in Nursing. So I am really fill my soul and my mind today while relaxing in bed! I also love to do other things that help me relax and recharge but they depends on weather and on my pain. So today I am in my pijamas and reviewing a couple of chapters of an hand book that a collegue of mine sent to me to peer-review, but I am also catching up with new Skool features. We have already the opportunity to go LIVE native in platform: this means that we won't need anymore zoom links or external emails to function. Everithing will happen here in platform also webinars will be native on platform very soon. Please, let me know what you want that I talk about and I'll create a Live event for you. To be honest I can't wait to use this new feature. But I am also curious to know what do you do for resting and recharging. Please let me know your thoughs! Cheers ~D.

I’m reading only now! I hope that “diving” into restful activities that you love has fulfilled your soul. I think that taking time for ourselves, whatever ways we choose (personally I love knitting and crocheting), helps to recharge and heal the mind. If we are well-centred we are more keen to take care of the others. Take care 🌈
