This post is for those ready to debate on the topic that material world is a prison for souls. We aren't here to "learn experiences"- soul is far greater than any human experience, emotion or thought could ever be. We didn't come here voluntarily; if we had, we could leave at will. And death of the body is not the way out.
Why does every soul yearn to "wake up" if it supposedly "chose to experience Earth"? Because this is a prison and souls know it. They long to awaken, to break free. This existence isn't a blessing, even the joy and love here are bait, shiny distractions to keep us in the cell.
We all sense something strange about the "God" in the Bible. That something is not right with that god.
That's because that "God" from the Bible is actually Jaldabaoth, demiurge. That God is not the source. Just the keeper, the warden of this material world.
The Bible says we are made "in God's image" (Genesis 1:27), but it is Jaldabaoth's image, because true source is formless. We're shaped like our jailer, not the infinite.
So the material world is a prison for souls. The "Hell" described in the Bible? It's this place- endless loops, endless suffering, the very essence of hell. Material world traps us through the senses. Souls that detach from desires, break free.
