Reconsidering
Well, when I went to do the swap to the lower price plan for hosting this group, I found out that my URL will change and it won't redirect to whatever generic string the new one becomes. This is a huge problem because I've put out a lot of marketing with this nature-connection URL. I don't even know where all they are, lol. Sooooo, I think for now it's going to stay as it is until I think this over some more.
Tomorrow
I may or may not be at coffee hour. I am getting help trying to design an AI made app🙄 I don't know how I ever got into this, but dang it! I want to learn! Something... besides utter frustration. A lady is taking pity on me and helping me during their last help session before the contest ends. Wish me luck. Had to puck a topic quick. Using same one I was teasing about making for X.
A Change
I don't think this will affect anyone in the membership, but if you find out that something has changed please let me know. I'm going to downgrade my group owner status from the 'pro' model to the 'hobby' model. This will be more affordable for me and will eliminate some of the admin tools. The only thing I can see that might change on your end is the Zoom meetings - I may have to send the link out for each one instead of it showing up with a reminder at the top of the Community tab. I'm moving that to every other week instead of every week so I can do pop-up art shows every other Sunday out here when the weather is nice. I'll pull the trigger on this tomorrow... so fingers crossed it goes as planned. I'll let you know if I find out something that affects you has happened. 🤞
Nothing much
I've been working outside on my garden while the weather is good, getting a lot done in there. But didn't stop to take pics of progress, lol. I'll take pics later. We also got in a new greenhouse kit, so I've been helping my husband with that. We had to unpack it all and now sealing/staining all of the wood before we put it together. As with everything else out here, though, there are many things that have to be done before you can do the thing you want to do... in this case, aside from the staining/sealing, we have to get a spot prepared for it. NOTHING is level here, so while I was working in the garden today, hubs has been on the tractor doing ground prep to level a small spot and ditch digging. Then we'll build a form and start pouring concrete for the pad. We have a small mixer, so will do it in sections ourselves because it's not enough square feet for a truck to bring it. Ah, the joy of living remote/rural. Closer to pavement, it's easier to get leftovers in concrete trucks delivered. Not so much out here. I posted an update to the showy orchid in the course. No blooms as of yesterday, just buds still. I'll try to get out there this evening to see if that's changed. We have the possibility of severe weather on the way, so I hope they hold off blooming until after that has passed or get it done before it comes, or I'll miss the pics of blooms, lol. What has been keeping you busy lately?
When I'm not making art
I'm usually busy doing things that at least inspire future art. Here's a blog post I made today about that topic: https://www.wildozark.com/the-life-that-inspires-my-art/ And on the orchid notes - I went out this morning to check but they're still not blooming. This must be one of those hurry up and wait kind of situations. Every year I check on them but miss when they are just about to flower. I usually catch them just after or too long after. The leaves seem to appear overnight, though. If it's not storming tomorrow, I'll check again. Today I covered things in the garden that might get killed by hail, just in case the severe weather coming has a mind to drop hail. I've had to start my entire garden over before because of this in May. And we're still in April, so it could easily happen.
