#1 Accountability Call 2026 is happening in 3 days
I think I just got fired 👏🥳
So, this might sound a bit weird to say this, but I think I just fired, and I can honestly say, I am so happy about it. The reason that I am so pleased, and why I'm counting this as a win, is that for the first time in a long time, I stood my ground and refused to take the blame for something which was out of my control. ⛔️ As a video editor with nearly a decade of experience at the BBC and beyond, I know I'm good at my job, so when a contact had reached out a while ago and asked for my help, I agreed, even offering a reduced rate as an intro offer, knowing that they were a start-up. After a brief discussion, we all confirmed that the edit should only take a couple of days. ✌️ Unfortunately, missing elements, graphics, footage, links, and general hiccups meant I wasn't provided the info I needed, and even after asking for it and outlining why, it still took longer, and the days kept rolling. However, I still kept going, hoping to support them so that we could all grow together. Then today I got an email questioning why it wasn't finished, complaining that the project was dragging on. 😳 Before joining skool, and meeting amazing people in communities like this one, I probably would have apologised, but combined with projects that I have been completing in another school environment, I have rediscovered my confidence again. So I replied, outlining everything I had done. All of the elements that I had requested had not been provided. All of the additional hours that I had put in to support them, even when the issues were outside of my control. All of the suggestions that, as a professional TV, video and audio editor, I felt could improve their process, workflows and effectiveness to ensure a future streamlined delivery. As yet I haven't had a response, and tbh, I'm hoping that I don't get one either. Sometimes you just have to remind yourself that not all money is good money. Know your value, because the wins don't always have to come with a financial element, and sometimes, just finding a part of you which you thought you had lost is priceless.
I think I just got fired 👏🥳
I am extremely thankful to YOU! ♥️🙏🏽
I don’t know how you guys feel about this community or Skool in general, but I can honestly say this has completely changed my life. And it’s wild to think I’ve only been here for about 3 months. Skool has changed the way I connect with people, the way I see others, the way I learn, grow, and progress. I finally found a place where we’re not judged, where people actually listen, support one another, share honestly, challenge one another with respect, and genuinely want to see one another win. A place where growth is encouraged, vulnerability is safe, and everyone understands that we’re all on our own journey, but we don’t have to walk it alone. The words below are just a few wins I’ve had from getting to know you so far, and I love this moment because this is only the beginning. There is no order of importance or preference, by the way. You also DON’T NEED TO READ IT ALL, you can skip directly to your name 😂 As we’re about to get into the topic of “communication,” I want to say this: words are extremely powerful. We’ll break that down and explain why very soon. Until then, I want to leave a note for the people who have made the biggest difference in my life here so far. @Jack Shiller - man, that IRL was only powerful because you were there. Meeting you in person was not only by coincidence, and I admire your effort to create such an amazing group and the name, I told you… The most appealing name I’ve seen. Jack, every day I wake up and show up here, I’m excited to engage with you because you’re such a positive person and a joy to be around. I admire your willpower to get out of your comfort zone and do something every day that you KNOW you don’t feel comfortable with, and that tells me where you’re going in life… success is right around the corner, brother. Moving away from your parents’ house to be here is a huge deal, and I admire you for that, too. And don’t forget, your public speaking skills are already amazing, and they’ll only get better from here.
I am extremely thankful to YOU! ♥️🙏🏽
First 2026 wins 🥇
Wonderful greetings from Switzerland! 😊 I wanna thank you all for making this community a success!! 🎉 I'm back on Skool for a week now, read a ton of posts & comments, and it feels like so much happened within this one month while I was on vacation. It feels like the community matured, different people engaging, it's by far not a "Bruno-one-man-show". I really liked that. Thanks to everyone for sharing, caring, being open 🥰. I wanna share as well two wins from my side - and please join. What's a win you achieved this last month or the last week? Let's take this as a preparation for the goals, raising awareness on our decisions and a first progress - or getting unstuck. #1 Personally, I see this last month as a personal transition from 2025 to 2026. We've been on an extended vacation, visiting our next destination, got clarity - just as planned. ✅ #2 One week back, I was able to catch up at Skool, going through hundreds of notifications, back on track to get my flame back. We cleaned up our house, rearranging some things to prep for the next baby and as our nanny left, we've adapted to that change too. Having this "extra" month of preparation reminded me of a quote from Martin Luther. He said, he spends every day 2h in prayer & prep for the day. When it's a busy day and he has really a lot to do, he spends for sure 4h in prayer & prep. For me it feels like this heading "now" into 2026, as this year: - I'll leave my job - We'll move 8000km to BC - 4th child - Just sorted my thoughts and counting 4 new projects/businesses I'd like to kick off - Continue with Skool & Sports - Homeschooling - ...and a few more aspects from the other key areas It still seems to be a lot, but everyday a bit more manageable. I'll count that as a win too 🎉 --- But now, I'm really eager to read some of your reflections on the past month. What are you wins? Where do you feel/see growth between Dec 31 and Jan 31?
First 2026 wins 🥇
World class attitude! 🔥
I recently saw this video and inspired me a lot so I thought of sharing it with all of you guys as well. I think that’s the point of life. Sometimes you’ll fall and it’s from there that people, ideas and business get to rise the most. What a good lesson to never give up! Hope you guys like it as well! 💪 I’m curious! 👀 Do you have any story where you accomplished something because you never gave up? 😎

One of the hardest parts of building anything isn’t strategy. It’s staying in it after the excitement wears off. The first week feels great. The first wins feel motivating. Then reality shows up. Fewer comments than you expected. Slower growth than you imagined. Days where it feels repetitive, boring, or invisible. That’s usually the moment people start questioning themselves. But that moment isn’t a signal to stop. It’s a signal that you’ve entered the part that actually matters. Progress doesn’t come from intensity. It comes from showing up when it’s no longer exciting. That’s true for communities. It’s true for habits. It’s true for personal growth. Quick exercise for today (2 minutes): 1️⃣ One thing you already have that’s helping you move forward 2️⃣ One habit, skill, or resource you’re underestimating 3️⃣ One small win from last week you didn’t give yourself credit for That’s it. Momentum starts when you shift your focus from what’s missing to what’s already working.
