Daily Journal – 05 May 2026
This morning, Alhamdulillah, I woke up early at 7:30 AM. One unique thing I did today was that I made my own bed, which felt like a good and disciplined start to the day. I prayed my Fajr Salah (Qaza), then recited the Quran. After that, I watched a recent live session lecture and made some notes from it. I also spent some time reflecting on myself as a UI/UX designer—thinking about what direction I should take. I decided that I should focus on Upwork and maintain my portfolio regularly. I noticed that Upwork can be distracting; while scrolling, I felt like bidding on projects, but I stopped myself because I believe I still need to learn more before fully jumping in. After that, I had breakfast and got ready to go to the shop. On the way, I recited the Quran again. I had planned to prepare a landing page brief as a goal for the day, but at the shop, there were power outages and it was very hot, so I couldn’t focus or complete the task. I prayed Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. After that, I headed back home. I was feeling a bit dehydrated, so I spent some time doing Zikr. When I got home, I had dinner. After Isha, I used my mobile for a while—although I realize that if I had avoided it, I could have spent that time on something more productive like video editing. Later, I freshened up, went to my room, and worked on video editing for a bit, rendering a project before going to sleep. Overall, it was a good day, but it could have been more productive. I can improve further.
