Lesson 338: I am affected only by my thoughts.

1 It needs but this to let salvation come to all the world. For in this single thought is everyone released at last from fear. Now he has learned that no one frightens him and nothing can endanger him. He has no enemies, and he is safe from all external things. His thoughts can frighten him, but since these thoughts belong to him alone, he has the power to change them and exchange each fear thought for a happy thought of love. He crucified himself. Yet God has planned that His beloved Son will be redeemed.

2 Your plan is sure, my Father—only Yours. All other plans will fail. And I will have thoughts that will frighten me until I learn that You have given me the only Thought which leads me to salvation. Mine alone will fail and lead me nowhere. But the Thought You gave me promises to lead me home, because it holds Your promise to Your Son.

To acknowledge that you are only affected by thoughts is a gift of freedom. Here, Peace has literally come to mind. When the thinking mind and your thoughts are seen for what they are – mistakenly made ruler of perception—then this power can be reclaimed for your greater Awareness.

Take a moment to look clearly upon the world of the mind’s imaginings and see where all ideas of fear are projected ideas of what could or may occur, leading only to your potential possible demise or endangerment. Nothing has actually occurred and of those events that could occur, the judgment of perceived guilt, shame, blame has already been denounced. It is only through the lens of lack, loss and limitation that fear occurs. Strength, Trust and Love cannot be fearful.

Therefore, utilize forgiveness to claim back the power to know Your Source. Trust in Love and be Free. Fear will fade when it’s recognized as a mere shadow of Ultimate Reality – a shadow that cannot come to anything but pass when the Light of the Son persists.

To say your body self makes your thoughts is not accurate. Thoughts are not solely electrical stimulus from a brain. The brain is a tool, as are the thoughts, each stemming like puppets from the simple mistaken idea that you are not Your Source. It was through this misperception that figuratively all hell broke loose.

Claim back the keys to this self-imposed prison by forgiving the wandering mind of the imaginings that bring nothingness but distress and perceptions of a lost self. Rest in Love and confidence, not in a self but Your Source. You Are as God Created You and nothing else or wayward can Be. Trust in This Knowledge and Be Free.
