Scared to speak because you might make a mistake?
What if mistakes aren't actually the problem? Scared to speak because you might make a mistake? I hear this every single day. I want to flip something for you. The fear doesn't come from making mistakes. The fear comes from making mistakes without understanding WHY. When you make a mistake and don't know why... It feels like something is broken inside you. Like you're just not good enough. But when you understand exactly why the mistake happened... And you know exactly what to fix... The fear disappears. Because it's not mysterious anymore. It's just a thing. A specific thing. With a specific fix. I've watched this happen hundreds of times. The moment someone understands their mistake > really understands it… Their shoulders drop. They relax. They breathe. They smile. Because it wasn't them. It was just a thing nobody had ever explained properly. You're not scared of mistakes. You're scared of not knowing why they keep happening. That's completely fixable. Coach Shane
