Walking down a narrow back street coming from a back street restaurant when i noticed a big white car coming towards me, it suddenly turn sharp to the left (his right) and stopped. He couldn't go any further because the gate was down and the guard wasn't letting him in. Obviously the only thing he could do was reverse back out, by this time i was level with and i expected him to wait until i had passed.
To my surprise, he just started reversing and he was fixed on watching the screen of his reverse camera. He was oblivious to me on his left as the car came closer and closer to me (still having his steering wheel on a hard lock right).
The car was about to nudge me when i turn to the drive (still concentrating on the screen) and said "hello!". I wasn't being friendly, i was really warning him that i was there and that he should have seen me. However, because he was watching the screen and nothing else, when i said "hello" it made him jump and say "you scared me" (in Chinese).
I think the man must have wet the drivers seat because he didn't move for a while.
I have driven many vehicles in my time and the one thing you must always be sure of, is the surrounding area before moving in any direction.
