DID YOU KNOW THIS EXPRESSION?
RENAISSANCE MAN / RENAISSANCE WOMAN
Someone who has many different talents, interests, or areas of knowledge, rather than specializing in just one field.
The expression comes from the Renaissance, a period known for remarkable figures who were interested in art, science, literature, philosophy, and many other fields.
Example:
She’s a real Renaissance woman. She’s a lawyer, speaks three languages, plays tennis, is fascinated by different cultures and history, and is interested in technology, neuroscience, philosophy, and psychology.
💡 Fun fact: I learned this expression from Queen yesterday, and guess what? I came across it almost immediately while watching Mindhunter! I absolutely love these little coincidences. It feels like the universe is saying, “Yep, you just learned this one!” Honestly, I thought it meant someone who is elegant or has a very refined, royal kind of vibe.😄
Would you describe yourself as a Renaissance person?
