First of all, it’s still much easier for me to write than to speak.
Let me share my story about me and Coach Shane.
I moved to the US 8 years ago, and I didn’t speak English at all. I mean, I knew a few words - that was it. I had to start learning English from scratch.
Ironically, I found CS and joined LME in January 2021. Honestly, I couldn’t handle the BOX system 😢 My English level at the time definitely didn’t help me feel comfortable managing folders inside folders inside folders. But somehow, intuitively, I knew he was my coach, and I kept gravitating back to him.
Eventually, I stopped subscribing to LME, but I continued listening to the Easy English Explanation podcast — which is FREE, by the way! And honestly, CS, there is WAY too much free content on your platforms 😎I know you’re the greatest and most generous coach I’ve ever met, but STILL!!!!!!!! 🥰
Later, I worked with a Russian-speaking coach who had incredible experience, and she helped me reach an intermediate level. I love her, and I’ll be grateful to her for the rest of my life.
During this whole adventure, I realized how many misconceptions I had about learning English. OMG!!!!!!
What you need to speak English:
Knowing 3,000–5,000 words - WRONG!
Grammar rules - WRONG!
Living in an English-speaking environment - WRONG!
I was basically in silent mode that entire time.
Then, once I reached a certain level, I realized I was stuck.
And here I am.
Somehow, I found this modern platform where everything finally became crystal clear. I was like, “Wait… really? All of this was available the whole time? Seriously?”
I started slowly, carefully, and cautiously.
Thank you, coach Gulya 😅 She brought me directly to the right address - VIP PERSONAL!
Honestly, I don’t know any better way to learn English than what I’ve found here.
I love the community, even though I’m an introvert. I admire Coach Shane and all the other coaches. Every course is incredibly intensive, and the live classes just keep coming one after another.
P.S.:
We need to trust our coaches, even when we don’t fully understand how everything works yet. Trust their experience, stay persistent, work hard, be patient, and enjoy the journey.
Love you all 🫶
CS, hug you million times 😅 and forgive me for leaving you for another in 2021 🫣
