Committee delivered
Last week I was writing about a volunteer-driven event organized by a committee, without a single leader to take charge. Not the best experience if I am honest, but I have to say that in the end the event worked out quite well. At the end of the day, it is a car display and not an open-heart surgery, there are no super harsh consequences if anything goes wrong.
Which led me to ask myself a question - why was I so frustrated about it? I think it's because I have quite high standards for myself and the work I deliver. And I project that on everything that I do. But was this so necessary here? I don’t know. Where does your perfectionism stand in the way of just getting things done?
