Few weeks back I supported a Canadian YouTuber and I bought a utility knife from them. I don't need it, I am not a construction worker and I have way to many awesome knifes already. However, I do like to support Canadian manufacturing. But how can you ensure that what is being produced is of any good quality, what is quality in the first place? This vlog is actually super awesome documentry of how to intorduce change and build delivery capacity. I highly recommand you all watch the previous episodes, even if you are not into manudacturing. There are so many lessons to be learned from this endevour. https://youtu.be/ny8W03oTS38?si=BOzf04xKcr_f9FLi

Will AI take out jobs as managers
A very interesting outlook on how this will progress in the near future. I was already interested in AI Adoption and wrote a few articles about it, and now I am even more convinced that combining AI-related skills with leadership skills will give us a competitive advantage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6mTUK_yPKw

@Vlad Gavrilov @Aina Alive I think this goes back to the workshop you and I delivered some time ago
December is quiet. Not much is happening.
I think we can all use a bit of a break and have next two weeks a bit lighter in meetings and chats. However, January will be anything but slow. Here is what I am planning: - Jan 2nd - Friday - a intro/retrospective on the entire year, - Following week - goal-setting workshop - how I go about my one year vision - Shortly after we will do a budgeting workshop, a gerinner friendly introduction to project finance. I hope to see you all there
Good introspective
Thank you everyone for joining today. It was a good, inspiring meeting. Next month's calendar will be filled out over the weekend, and next introspective will be at the end of the month.

Decision Framework
I had a very interesting conversation with a friend of mine who is seeking advice on formulating a decision framework. Sometimes teams focus so much on collaboration that they lose sight of what is important - the product in the hands of the customer. Analysis paralysis creeps in, and despite a lot of meetings and discussion, nothing really gets delivered. Hence, there is a need for a decision framework, where if no decision can be made by the group, a decision will be made by the framework. Did any of you ever set such a system in place? If yes, share your thoughts; if no, ask questions about it.

@Nauman Mithani not uncommon, for many reasons. I would argue that it is a job a that decision-makes often a manager, to help the team understand the larger picture which is driving them to make a decision different to the majority. That of course is with the assumption that the decision is made based on some sort of analysis and not pure on Ego. Budget is also a consideration. Most individual contributors often don't know or care for the cost of each option, and the management often does know, but then again, that needs to be explained to the team.

@Aina Alive that is a very good point, speed should be a byproduct of clarity and alignment, but it is pointless if what is being delivered is valueless
