It's been two weeks...
since I committed myself to build a successful AAA and joined this community to learn and act.
And here's gist of my second week:
I got some much needed rest.
When I got to Friday afternoon last week, I was dazed. I was still high off of learning and taking massive action to accelerate myself in this new opportunity, so I didn't feel tired. But my focus was difficult to keep, and I was making many small mistakes and forgetting what I was working on.
So I intentionally removed myself from anything that had to do with AI for a whole day. I got to go fishing 🎣 with my daughter for the first time and broke two rods 😢and caught nothing 😢😢other than a good analogy of being a newb in AI and in fishing which I might share later.
I came back refreshed and...
Completed 3 more modules in Classroom: Launch, Marketing, and Operations.
There are 17 tutorials (total 6 hours 6 minutes and 20 seconds) with gems of strategies, practical advices, tactics, materials, and much more!! Questions like what to sell, what's selling, how to price, who to hire, etc. came naturally as I sink deeper in to building the agency, but didn't really have good answers until these tutorials. These are must watches!!! 📺🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
As for cosine similarities.... wow. 😜
I started building a framework for my agency, dividing ideas and tasks into departments of my future agency, and hashing them out as I complete them.
I built a branding strategy template with a help from none other than Brandy, my branding guru AI. 😁
  1. I am going to be a generalist to start off my agency. I need more traction to decide on moving to a horizonal or vertical niche.
  2. I have list of service offerings.
  3. I now have the name of my agency. color scheme, and the themes for my brand image.
  4. I have listed five warm market to start off: Two in NPO, one dental and two in education. I asked my market analyst named Ana to perform assessments of these businesses and got satisfactory reviews. Ana will get improved prompts so she can be excellent in future analyses. 😁
  5. I posted an article in Medium.com to start building authority and credibility. This one took about 8 hours. I'm sure the time spent will naturally reduce over time, but I need it down by a half real quick.
  6. I created two legal documents: Service Agreement and Solution Acceptance forms with help of my legal counselor named Lawson, of course an AI. 😁
I networked with some community members:
gave me a wonderful tour of Go High Level. It looks like a well-thought out, quite capable system. It's an option to building out my demo and developing solutions. It's already got half of solutions I want as services of my agency.
beat me to creating this t-shirt with QR code to wear at a tech event. Check his posting if you haven't already.
showed me his previous works that were built in 3 days: Websites with stunning, modern, elegant and professional looks. DM him if you need professionally built websites. I'm going to schedule a discovery session with him sometime next week.
She's just full of great info, ideas, talents, encouragements, humor, wow!!!
I have a call with VoiceFlow this afternoon to provide feedback on their new Functions feature for $25 discount off of subscription. They scheduled it for 15 minutes. So $25 less to spend on VF when I continue the subscription. 💰
Here're my fails of the week:
  1. I didn't get to finish my demo solution, largely due to my distracted focus on solving date timestamp. Unlike in my enterprise application integration experiences, the date and time input and output requires lot of handling in AI environment, much more than I anticipated. Maybe it's due to my prompting. I wanted to solve it using VF and spent way too much time on it for nothing to show. Another reason is instead of building a Minimum Viable Product, I was building a Most Valuable Product to launch, because I wanted, to the market. I haven't even spoken to anyone outside of my family about me in AI space, and I arrogantly thought I can build a multi-functional system that the market will love! What an idiot!
  2. I haven't got a website. I used four different AI website builders, and two delivered nothing (they got stuck on building launchable links and hung up), and the other two weren't satisfactory. One just completely ignored the brand schemes I wanted to have (Website Generator), and the other was just not pretty to look at (DesignerGPT). Both wanted me to do additional work on the websites like adding pictures, modifying headers, etc. Maybe I need to improve my prompts or should I say prompt to my AI friend Monty who generated the website build request prompt. 🤪😄 Or maybe I should lower my expectations of these designer GPTs and move on to real people.
  3. I've yet to update my LinkedIn page. Gotta update and start posting.
Here are things that I realized this week:
  1. Focus: I had to remind myself over and over again to focus on priorities and things I'm working on. There are so many interesting things that pique my interests and get me off track. One thing I'm doing less, and will only do it once a day, is reading community postings. 🤪
  2. Goals: I started setting some goals for the week. Like the website, LinkedIn, and demo solution were to be done by yesterday but now will bleed into my third week. There are other things I set as goals, like finishing the classroom modules, working on my agency framework and roadmap, etc. which got done. Goal setting definitely helps.
  3. Decisions: Now that I have gained fairly good understanding of AI Agents and AAA, I am running into areas where good decisions are needed to minimize wastes. Do I continue with Make and VF as the central platforms or buy into GHL so it's easier to start the agency not knowing what I'm really marrying into? Do I spend more of my time or pay someone to build my website or landing page? Do I build a team based locally, internationally, or in a mix? Do I continue to be the developer or pivot to managing only?
  4. Team: More I do, more things to do. I know it's just a part of startup game whether it be AI or brick and mortar. I am so glad to have watched couple of vids on teams and hiring by . Even with my AI buddies, I need real people. Being able to look at their faces, sharing the same vibes and excitements, comforting each other when lost, arguing, celebrating, stressing together, you don't get these with AIs. (Hey, I might have reached a decision! 😁) It's so much better with a people team.
  5. Rest: I know I'm off balance right now. It was intentional, but I am not who I once was. Even God rested for a day. Rest is important. I know.
Geez, this is a long one, and I'm not even half way to finishing it! Just kidding! 😁
You know I am writing this log for me to record my progress, to build accountability with those who would care in this community, and to encourage those who need it to push forward with a goal, at a pace each individual can handle.
If you read to this far, then you deserve a joke. Enjoy!
My AI generated a perfect business plan.
Step 1: Replace all humans.
Step 2: Profit.
Step 3: Repeat.
See you around folks!
