How Broad Should My Location Setting be?

I'm in the process of running my first campaign for a free client and am just waiting on access to their ads manager to get started, but in my meantime I opened my own ads manager just to get familiar with the interface and learn where everything is. When it came time to select my Audience Location, I was unsure of where to select. The client is located in the Caribbean but advertising to the US and the campaign length is 10 days on a $15 per day budget. Should I select the entire US or the 3 biggest cities with direct flights to the island?
