September Kicking Contest
One of the reasons why I chose to launch this Kicking Skool community was because being active positively within the group is "gamified". Meaning, you get points for good posts, commenting on posts, game reviews, accomplishments, assistance to others, photos, videos, etc. — then, you get ranked on the LEADERBOARD. Right now, Nate Custer is our leader at +3. There's still time for anyone to win August with 3 days left! At the end of this month (this Saturday), the winner will get a Mike Farley's Kickers Camp t-shirt of their choosing (grey, blue, white or red - $20 value). For the month of September, the winner will receive a Mike Farley's kickers camp football ($120 value). If we are to grow into the group that can help hundreds, if not thousands of kickers around the country, I want and NEED your help — participate! Get active and I promise to do my part to help instruct, advise and improve each and every one of you.

Introduce yourself...
I'm Coach Mike Farley and the admin of this site, as well as the guy who runs summer kicking camps in the Midwest to help you become your school's Friday Night Kicker or Punter. I played 3-sports in high school (football, basketball, baseball) and 2-sports in college (football, baseball) at the D3 level. I got signed to a pro contract with the Green Bay Packers (back when dinosaurs ruled the earth)! I've got a unique background being the starting kicker, punter and quarterback in college. I had a lot of fun and have been sharing what I've learned with young specialists ever since.

Welcome to KICKERSCAMP!
KICKERSCAMP's primary mission is to assist aspiring kickers and punters to become their high school coach's trusted specialist. Coach Mike Farley has helped improve the form. consistency, distance and mental maturity for hundreds of young kickers and punters from around the country. He can put you on the right path, too. This community is open to all kickers and punters (from middle school to high school to college and beyond). Being a specialist can be a lonely profession at times and here's where you can find out answers to your kicking questions, as well as a place to meet others on the same journey... and even a space to show off a bit! Don't be afraid to introduce yourself... and as a SKOOL platform, you're encouraged to participate. The more you do, the more points you earn. High point earners at the end of each month will be rewarded with prizes! So let's get after it!

Biggest College/HS difference: Competition advice
Wanted to pop in here and write something about the college football perspective. I already made a post on recruiting (go like it!), but this post is about pressure at different levels and how to manage it. The biggest difference between high school football and college football is the pressure set upon you. In high school, not many kickers have to compete for the starting position. There isn’t much pressure put on high school kickers due to that as well as the fact that your coaches often don’t understand kicking. ENJOY your high school career because it will be the last time you aren’t kicking for a starting position. Now if you are one of the rare high school kickers fighting to play on Fridays, don’t stress. At the end of the day, you have to be confident in yourself and your ability. If you aren’t confident in yourself, then you should set the goal of being confident before you go for that starting job. I personally feel that you should never hope for someone to do badly in order for you to make it starting. Always strive to beat someone at their best, not their worst. To finish up here, just R.E.L.A.X. Keep working to get yourself better and you’ll be there in no time.

Learn from the D3 NIL King
Yes, it is possible to strike an NIL deal as a D3 football player! Jack Betts played WR at Amherst College until 2023. He signed over 40 NIL deals. No, Jack did not make the pros. Nor did he make millions — but he did make money, get himself noticed, set up his own business and website, produced a strong social following and got a bunch of free swag in the process of learning how to promote himself.
