Welcome, Jim!
A shout out to an old friend (and rival) of mine, @Jim Gorecki who just joined KICKING SKOOL! Jim is salesman extraordinaire for Dynamic Fitness & Strength in Eau Claire, WI. He probably sold your school it's weight room equipment! ๐Ÿ˜† Jim was also a kicker back in the OLD DAYS at UW-Stout. He's since helped me out as a camp counselor and fellow kicking mentor to high schoolers. I'm sure that Jim will have some great advice to share!

Special Teams Player of the Year!
Our Wisconsin Lutheran College punter (and starting wide receiver), Drew Mears, was just selected as the Wisconsin Private Colleges Special Teams Player of the Year by the WFCA! What a well deserved honor! Drew was a real weapon for us all season long! Great directional punts, most left on the ground or fair caught. No long returns. Super pooch punts locking opponents deep in their territory. Even pulling off a great rugby fake for a critical first down in a win. Put all that on top of senior leadership, a steady head and great hands and you've got a coach's dream punter โ€” and multi position player. Every college coach wants a guy like Drew on his team. _ _ _ _ 43 punts โ€ข 41.28 avg. โ€ข 61 long โ€ข 12 FC โ€ข 16 I20 โ€ข 4 50+ โ€ข 0 blocked

Snow Kicking
Was lucky enough to get a 40 fg attempt in some brutal weather during the second round of D3 playoffs. Some thoughts I wanted share that helped in this. 1. Changed my plant foot soccer cleat for a football cleat 2. Slowed the operation time down because they will be slower too 3. Focused on good contact getting hips through the posts

45 states allow High School NIL deals
From On3: After a court order temporarily allowed Ohio high school athletes to sign NIL deals,ย the Ohio High School Athletic Association voted to make it permanent.ย Ohio is now the 45th state to allow NIL at the high school level. The OHSAA took up emergency legislation following a lawsuit filed by Ohio State wide receiver commit Jamier Brown. Last month, a judge granted a temporary restraining order which temporarily allowed high school athletes in the state to sign NIL deals. The order was due to run through Dec. 15. Monday morning, the OHSAA's rule change went through following a vote by high school principals.ย It passed by a 447-121 vote with 247 schools abstaining. Following the OHSAA's ruling, five states do not allow NIL at the high school level. (Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Mississippi, and Ohio) "We would like to thank our member schools for taking ownership of this NIL bylaw proposal," said OHSAA executive director Doug Ute in a statement. "Whether our schools or individuals agree with NIL at the high school level or not, the courts have spoken on this issue across the country that the NCAA and high school athletic associations cannot prevent a student-athlete from making money on their NIL."
