Rollout punting cross-field
Spiral punting can be hard. For high school specialists, a rollout or “rugby” style punt might be a quicker path to being effective on Friday nights. It doesn’t require you to be as exacting with technique and presents at least the threat of a run out of punt formation. Below is an added twist that @Ryan Schroeder played around with working on his own. A typical rollout punt goes to the strong side, or kicking leg side. But with a simple flip of the hips, you can show the strong side movement but go across the field. You have a chance to leave the return team and returner unsettled and reacting late. Give it a try at your next session.

Excellent point @Matt Schroeder ... and your son, @Ryan Schroeder 's consistency in this clip is awesome. Couldn't agree more... I find that so many kids could help their teams further by learning how to rugby punt — don't get me wrong — a traditional turnover is the only way to get a 5 second hangtime... but for accuracy and effectiveness, especially at a younger age, this is a great skill to practice.
Big E for the win!
@Ellis Wangelin was our top point getter for the month of APRIL, rallying with some great commentary, posting and positive vibes across our growing community! Way to go, E!!!! What does he win? I'm sending "#13" a Mike Farley's Kickers Camp 2026 mini helmet so that he can place it on his trophy shelf and be reminded to continue setting a great example for all of our K-SKOOL members! 🤩 _ _ _ Anyone can win something new each and every month! How about you? All you have to do is contribute, share and LIKE... and while you're at it, LEARN, HAVE FUN & MAKE A FRIEND.

My mini-helmet will look like a shrunken head against that full sized Blue Devil lid! 🤣
K-SKOOL ACROSS THE GLOBE!
Take a closer look at these maps (below) or zoom in for yourself on our MAP page. OK, we have humble beginnings, but I really do have visions of K-Skool reaching 1000's of kids, parents and coaches around the world! We love this game... and these very special skills we're developing giving everyone a chance to compete and succeed in pressure situations — on the field, and in life! SPREAD THE WORD TO FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COACHES > There's nothing like K-Skool! 😆 🏈

@Ellis Wangelin Get to know Austrailian Rules Football!
Which state produces the most NFL draft picks?
Texas leads the way with 33 (of 257 total picks in 7 rounds), but Florida had the most 1st Round Picks with 5. Read the Max Preps article here and watch the video for more. How does your state match up?

@Jim Gorecki This was from MaxPreps (so I think it's Wisconsin high schools)... found this on Gemini... turns out, just four — and no Badgers. 😬
Smacking that ball
Green Bay traded up to get Florida kicker Trey Smack in the 6th round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Whether or not he wins the job, it’s a far better selection than Anders Carlson in the sixth a few years ago. Smack was the No. 1 or 2 rated guy for most analysts. Carlson was a complete surprise and had a weak track record from 40+ yards. As luck would have it, six years ago he was in the same field goal group as @Ryan Schroeder at a national scholarship camp. While Ryan did fine, Smack was clearly among the elite even then. Enough so that I grabbed a clip from one of his kicks. This was the summer prior to his junior year in high school. It’s 40 yards I think, and he’s going off the ground. You can see how smooth it was. The elevation is exceptional. As a Packers fan, I’m excited to see him get his chance now.

You need to be smooth when you’re kicking in front of 80,000 at Lambeau. 😁

3 specialists picked in 2026 draft: #211 in 6th Round (Ryan Eckley, P-Michigan St.) by the Ravens; #216 in 6th Round (Trey Smack, K-Florida) by the Packers; and #239 in 7th Round (Tommy Doman, P-Florida) by the Bills.
