Maximizing Your Advertising Spend 💳✈️
If you're already running a business, whether that's selling books or something else, one of the first things I recommend is separating your business spending from your personal spending.
I know many of you are still putting business expenses on personal cards, but keeping business and personal expenses separate can make organizing your finances and preparing for tax season much easier.
I want to share a strategy I use that goes beyond books and actually fuels another passion of mine: travel.
Some of you already know I'm heading to Rome✈️ next month. Between business class flights, hotels, and everything else, this trip would normally cost well over $10,000. But I spent under $1,000 out of pocket because I maximized my business spending and earned travel rewards from expenses I was already making anyway.
One card I use for my business spending is the AMEX BUSINESS GOLD ... it has an annual fee, but it allows me to earn elevated rewards in select business spending categories like:
✔ Advertising purchases (Facebook ads, Google ads, TikTok ads, etc.)
✔ Software and cloud tools
✔ Wireless services
✔ Transit and other business expenses
If you're already spending money on ads and business tools each month, these are expenses you're paying regardless. If you're not earning rewards back on spending you're already doing, you could be missing out on points that can later turn into flights, hotels, upgrades, and travel experiences.
I've been able to turn business expenses I was already making into business class flights and major travel savings.
