Did you know that books have seasonality? ๐Ÿ“š
One thing Iโ€™ve noticed after publishing multiple books ๐Ÿ“š over the years is that sales often start to climb in the fall and winter monthsโ€ฆ and then soften a bit during spring and summer. And honestly, it makes sense. When the weather gets colder, people spend more time indoors, scroll online more, listen to more audiobooks during commutes, and look for ways to learn, escape, or improve themselves. Meanwhile, spring and summer tend to shift attention toward vacations, outdoor activities, family events, and just being out living life. Even major retailers plan around this behavior. The publishing industry sees strong momentum during: โžก๏ธ Back-to-school season โžก๏ธ Q4 holiday shopping โžก๏ธ New Year โ€œnew meโ€ self-improvement season Thatโ€™s why itโ€™s important not to panic if your sales dip a little during warmer months. A slower season doesnโ€™t automatically mean your book is failing. This is actually a GREAT time to: - Build your catalog - Improve your listings - Gather reviews - Optimize your keywords - Prepare for stronger Q4 traffic later in the year Think of it like planting seeds before the busy shopping season arrives. ๐ŸŒฑ Now Iโ€™m curiousโ€ฆ Have you personally noticed certain times of year where you buy or read more books? Or do your habits stay the same year-round?

@Wendy Koenig, honestly, all picture books are good gifts for birthdays, Christmas and other winter holidays, etc. I would do it when the time is right for you rather than worrying about season. Just my opinion. ๐Ÿค—

The Best Time to Start a Skool Community Is Now
One thing I think people are going to regret is NOT starting their own Skool community sooner. When I got started back in 2024, there was no $9 Hobby Plan. Iโ€™ve been paying the $100/month plan ever since. I could downgrade now, but honestly, the affiliate feature alone has been worth keeping because it gives members an incentive to share your community and bring in new people. That has absolutely helped this community grow. Another thing Iโ€™m noticing? Skool is investing heavily into helping communities get discovered on the platform itself. Right now thereโ€™s still opportunity because the platform isnโ€™t completely oversaturated yet. The earlier you build, the easier it is to establish momentum before thousands more communities flood in competing for attention. Now obviously Iโ€™m not a Skool insider, but personally, I wouldnโ€™t be shocked if the $9 plan doesnโ€™t stay around forever. If you can lock that pricing in now, thereโ€™s a good chance future-you will be happy you did. So if youโ€™ve been thinking about starting a communityโ€ฆ stop overthinking it. Yeah @Greg Junge @Todd Rosenthal @Vicky C @Lisa Jeffries - I'm talking about you ๐Ÿ˜‰ Open the group. Start posting. Start building relationships. Start learning the platform. Why wait when itโ€™s only $9/month? โžก๏ธ START YOUR COMMUNITY NOW

@Amanda Owens, thanks for askingโ€ฆI try to do all of the thingsโ€ฆ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I have a book, two mental health journals, and a productivity notepad on Amazon. ๐Ÿค— Plus a freemium group, Income Without Burnout, and a $5 Claude Coworker Lab Skool that I just started. They are both grow together types of Skool so we focus on products, books, and Skool in them! When I finally found this connection and way, I fell into alignment. ๐Ÿค—

Progress Comes From Action ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ”ฅ
๐Ÿ”ฅYou get out what you put in. I wanted to take a few minutes to recognize some community members who are taking what theyโ€™ve learned and actually putting it into motion. Results donโ€™t happen because you join a community, buy a course, or save a post. Results happen when you take action. ๐Ÿ“ฃ @Gemma Coles (my VIP client) launched her book in less than 8 weeks. Sheโ€™s already seeing sales, working on gathering reviews, actively marketing her book, and she's already thinking about the next one. That's publisher thinking. @Pat Terrell followed the lessons inside Premium and used the step-by-step process to get her book published and live on Amazon. @Gale Bates started by moving her planner from only being sold on her own website over to Amazon KDP, making it easier for people around the world to buy it. Since then, sheโ€™s already moved into launching a childrenโ€™s book and has plans for more. @Tara Adler joined the call last night where I was able to help with some keyword research (replay coming soon ๐Ÿ‘€). Sheโ€™s actively working on multiple books at once... and no, not ideal Tara is just an overachiever ๐Ÿ˜‚ @Jim Flach has some great ideas in the works and decided to start with a childrenโ€™s book in his niche so he could move through the process more quickly and learn by doing. ๐ŸŽ‰ There are many people in this community making progress, and every small step matters. Whether you're writing, researching, designing, publishing, or marketing โ€” movement creates momentum. The people taking action are moving closer to launch goals and sales goals. The people sitting on the sidelines? Those goals stay exactly where they are. "You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to become great." Combine GPTs?
For those of you who have built GPTs have you ever combined GPTs into one master GPT? I have two Book GPTs that kind of do different things but Iโ€™d like to combine them.

@Darlene G, yes! It does a ton, I use it daily too. It doesnโ€™t have AI agents yet. Itโ€™s only a matter of time though. Maybe it came out today for all I know! ๐Ÿคฃ
