Wednesday Reflection: Are You the Bottleneck?
Look at your answer from Monday.
If you found a genuine bottleneck (a decision you're making but don't need to be)
What was the recurring decision and why was it coming to you?
Was it from:
If someone else COULD make this decision instead of you, what would you need to do to help them?
Remember, there are decisions that are fully your responsibility. Not all decisions can be answered by someone else. The target of this exercise is to find the ones that can.
If you couldn't identify one... Ask yourself:
"If I disappeared for two weeks, what would immediately become a problem?"
That's probably where you should look.
Future Thinking:
For the decisions that are fully yours, what is a decision you could make ahead of time?
Example's:
○ Meal prep 1 week ahead or 1/2 a week ahead.
○ Choosing outfits for the week.
○ Setting bedtime alarms or calendar notifications.
With just these 3 choices you can remove up to 30+ decisions throughout your week, drastically reducing your decision fatigue each week and each month.
