The Whole Story: Starting My Homeopathic Journey with Nicole Guy
I’ve always believed that our bodies carry our history, but I never realised quite how much until today. Last week, I had a "deep dive" consultation with Nicole Guy. We went all the way in, looking at my life systemically. I found myself recalling events from as far back as I could remember, tracing the timeline of my life to see how everything connects. From Grey to Colour: The Progress So Far I’m starting this homeopathic journey this evening, but I’m not starting from zero. To give you some context: The surgeon at The RVI previously told me I was 90% blind in my affected eye. However, I’ve already felt a shift. I’d say I’m closer to 70% now. The most incredible part? The areas that were once just "grey" are transforming. - The Blur of Colour: Where there was once a grey void, there is now a vibrant blur of colour. - Patches of Clarity: Within that blur, I'm starting to see actual patches of clarity breaking through. - Sharper Vision: The areas where I could see are becoming noticeably clearer. It feels like the lights are being turned back on, and I am so excited to see how this systemic work accelerates that progress. Focusing on the "Glow" and the Healing My primary focus for this treatment is to address: - Glaucoma & Eye Pressure: Moving things in the right direction before my next clinical check on May 17th. - Systemic Inflammation: Calming the "heat" in the body that contributes to eye issues. - Micro-Changes: I’m keeping a close watch on the small wins, those patches of clarity and the way the colour fills in the gaps. My "Glow & Flow" Tracker I’m taking it upon myself to monitor my own well-being. I’ll be tracking: 1. Visual Clarity: Noting when the "patches" of clear sight grow or join together. 2. Pressure Sensations: Monitoring how my eyes feel throughout the day... Heavy sore etc.. 3. The "Blur" Transformation: Watching as the grey areas continue to fill with colour. The Path Ahead I’m starting the remedies tonight with a lot of hope. Healing isn't always a straight line, but as I've already seen colour return where there was none, in just 5 weeks I know I am on the right path.

A New Way of Thinking About Glaucoma: The “Rescue and Repair” Signal
I’ve been doing a lot of exploring lately on my own healing journey, especially around eye health, and I came across something that really made me pause and think differently. It’s called ARA-290. Now, before we go any further, this isn’t something you’ll be prescribed at your local clinic tomorrow. It’s still very much in the research world. But what it represents feels important… because it shifts the conversation. And sometimes, a shift in perspective is where real change begins. From “Managing Damage” to “Supporting Survival” Most conventional glaucoma treatments focus on one thing: lowering eye pressure. And that makes sense. If you imagine your eye like a sink, treatments are working like a plumber—reducing the pressure so the delicate structures inside don’t get damaged. But here’s the thing… What if pressure isn’t the whole story? What if we also need to think about how to protect and support the nerves themselves? That’s where ARA-290 becomes interesting. So, What Does It Actually Do? Let’s break it down in simple, human terms. 1. A “Stay Alive” Signal for Your Eye Nerves In glaucoma, the cells at the back of the eye—called retinal ganglion cells—gradually become stressed and begin to die. ARA-290 appears to send a kind of internal message: “You’re not done yet. Stay with me.” It activates pathways in the body linked to cell survival and protection, helping these delicate nerve cells hold on for longer. 2. Calming the Internal Environment When cells become damaged, they don’t go quietly. They create inflammation—a kind of internal “noise” that can affect surrounding healthy cells. ARA-290 seems to help quiet that environment, reducing inflammatory signals so the rest of the system can function more calmly. And if you think about it, this mirrors what we often do in therapy too… Before we rebuild, we regulate. 3. Supporting Repair and Connection One of the most hopeful areas of research is around nerve regeneration. 🌿 My Healing Morning: A Story of Taking My Power Back There’s something quietly powerful about a morning when you decide… Today, I’m going to take care of myself differently. Not perfectly. Not rigidly. But consciously. And that’s where I find myself right now, on a healing journey that feels messy, experimental, hopeful… and, if I’m honest, a little bit rebellious. ✨ How It Started… My body has always been a little… fiery. Inflammation has been a theme running through my life, skin, immune system, and more recently, my eyes. What began as uveitis (inflammation inside the eye) has led to secondary glaucoma, where pressure builds in the eye and threatens vision. The treatment pathway? Steroids to reduce inflammation… Which then increase eye pressure… Which then requires more intervention… It’s a cycle that, for me, hasn’t felt like healing. It’s felt like managing symptoms while my body quietly struggles underneath it all. And when surgery was suggested, a tube in my eye, a plate on my eyeball, I had a moment. Not a dramatic one. A quiet, internal “there must be another way for me.” A Different Path So I made a decision. Not to reject medical support, but to step into my own healing more fully. To explore what my body might do if I gave it the right environment. And that’s where my mornings began to change. Here is my morning Ritual (A Little Bit Science, A Little Bit Magic) My day starts with what I now affectionately call my “blue potion.” Filtered water, fresh lemon, and a drop of methylene blue, something I’ve found supports energy, focus, and cellular function. It feels like a signal to my body: We’re doing things differently now. Then comes the stack of support, vitamins, minerals, botanicals. Not in a frantic, “fix me” kind of way… But in a steady, “let’s nourish what’s already trying to heal.” B vitamins for energy and inflammation Vitamin D3 with K2 (because, let’s face it, we live in the UK ☁️ and I'm in need of extra sunshine)
