The Red Notebook
Well, Dr. Fielding wondered where I had been for the last almost two months—like I had dropped off the face of the Earth—and honestly, that’s exactly what it felt like. Over that time, my mom has been through multiple hospital stays and is now home receiving TPN through a PICC line, which I administer each night as her primary caregiver. It’s been exhausting, emotional, and nonstop, but also a reminder of how quickly life can shift and how deeply love shows up in hard seasons.
I just can’t imagine what this would have been like if I hadn’t done the work with Dr. Fielding last year to get a grip on my own menopause journey. I met with my doctor this week for a checkup, and the only concern was some high blood pressure—which, of course, stress will do—but she was so proud of the progress I’ve made. My January bloodwork was incredible, with everything back in normal ranges, all without medication—just diet, supplements, and Dr. Fielding’s guidance. So you may wonder why I’m sharing a picture of a red book—this book represents my menopause journey. Now that I can finally breathe a little as my mom’s health stabilizes, I’m coming back to my red notebook to refocus on myself. My message to you: if you’ve never taken the time to truly invest in your health with Dr. Fielding, do it. Find your “red notebook,” whatever that looks like for you, and get yourself back on track. I’m proud of the work I’ve done, and I’m ready to keep moving forward to get back to 100%.
