๐ This Weekโs Mental Wellness Monday from Dr. Pam
Hello Wellness Seekers!
Itโs Monday and Iโm bringing you Mental Wellness Monday from Sonora, Mexico where I am doing some trauma work with another wonderful spiritual healer. The place we are staying is somewhat remote placeโit is sacred. Last night while walking I came upon a majestic white Palo Santo tree. I didnโt recognize it at first having only seen a small piece of it burning in my daughterโs room the unmistakable fragrance permeating the entire home. I would have passed it by had my co-sojourner not called my attention to it. โHoly Woodโ, she said, Palo Santo. Itโs known for purification, protection, and a deeper connection to spirituality.
Palo Santo is known for its sweet, earthy smoke and for the belief that it cleanses spaces, aligns energy, grounds to the earth, and fosters inner peace. Interesting! This is why I have come to this place. In my teaching and counseling I hope to help others clean out spaces occupied by lies about who they are and what they are capable of; energize, ground, and bring peace. I have heard life stories that are beyond painful and harsh; stories that are difficult to hear and even more difficult to believe. I have continued to repeat this weekโโThis story does not define you, โThis is not your identityโ, โYou are good and worthyโ, โYou are not what happened to you.โ
I say the same to you! Is your story painful and harsh? Difficult to tell? Difficult to believe? Begin a practice of affirming yourself. Stop the stinking thinking. Remind yourself of all the good in you. Recite positive statements. Get in to a counselor or someone else trained to help you discover the authentic you who might have been lying dormant under the lies, the hurt, the whatever. Join us on a live Q&A--ask your questions and get answers. The Shrink Rap Show on YouTube and right here on Skool is filled with many, many podcasts that can help you on your journey to healing. And, hey, burn some Palo Santo, too. Light it and set your intention. Focus on how you want to see yourself. State your desire to heal. You really are worthy, good, lovely, deservingโฆHolyโฆjust like the wood.
Yours on the journey,
Dr. Pam
