๐ŸŒฟ What's the Weed: Folk Remedies You Can Find Outside ๐ŸŒผ(Stinging Nettle)
This aggressive perennial colonizes disturbed areas, forest edges, riverbanks, and nitrogen-rich soils, often forming dense, impenetrable patches. Its serrated, heart-shaped leaves grow in opposite pairs along square stems, and the entire plant is covered with tiny hollow hairs that inject a painful, stinging compound on contact. Just brushing against it causes an immediate burning sensation that can last for hours. Most people give this plant a wide berth and curse it as a painful nuisance, yet this same "weed" is one of the most nutritious and medicinally valuable plants on earth, prized by herbalists for thousands of years. โœจ Traditional Uses: โ€ข Young spring shoots have been cooked (cooking neutralizes the sting) as an incredibly nutrient-dense wild green, rich in iron, calcium, and vitamins. โ€ข Folk healers have brewed the dried leaves into teas to support seasonal allergies, acting as a natural antihistamine. โ€ข Traditionally used as a powerful spring tonic to "build the blood" and restore vitality after winter. โ€ข Applied topically (carefully!) or in liniments to ease arthritis pain and improve circulation to sore joints. โœจ DIY Folk Remedy Recipe: Nourishing Spring Tonic Tea Gather young leaves wearing gloves (or use dried from a trusted source). Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves. Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes, then strain. Drink 1-3 cups daily as a mineral-rich, allergy-supporting tonic. This earthy, slightly grassy tea has been a cornerstone of traditional spring cleansing for generations. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Drop your guess in the comments, who knows this "weed"?

nettle and while it is great, it stings like you know what if you touch it! I had to pour Elmer's glue all over my hands, let it dry and pulled it off when I accidentally pulled that weed! Lesson learned!

Self Love . It all starts with you
This quote beautifully reminds us that self-love is the foundation for transformation. When we nurture our mind, body, and spirit with kindness and care, our energy shifts โ€” and everything around us begins to reflect that. True wellness starts from within, and as we honor ourselves, we create space for deeper balance, beauty, and connection in our lives. Here are some simple steps if your just beginning. We are all in our journey and at different stages . Letโ€™s not compare ourselves to each other as we are all unique. Mirror kindness โ€ข Stand in front of a mirror, look into your own eyes, and say one kind sentence to yourself (for example: โ€œYou are doing your best, and that is enoughโ€). โ€ข Do this once a day, even if it feels awkward; over time it softens self-criticism and builds acceptance. 2. Three things I like โ€ข Take a notebook and list three things you like about yourself (qualities, not just looks). โ€ข Repeat this a few times a week to gently retrain your mind to notice your strengths instead of your flaws. 3. Love-letter journaling โ€ข Write a short โ€œlove letterโ€ to yourself, as if you were your own supportive friend. โ€ข Include appreciation, encouragement, and compassion for what youโ€™ve been through and who you are becoming. 4. Mini self-care pause โ€ข Schedule just 5โ€“10 minutes a day for something that feels nourishing: stretching, breathing, tea, a song you love, or sitting in silence. โ€ข Treat this time as non-negotiable, a small daily act of honoring your own worth. 5. Gentle affirmation practice โ€ข Choose one simple affirmation, like โ€œI am learning to love myself,โ€ and repeat it slowly several times in the morning and at night. โ€ข You can also write it on a sticky note where youโ€™ll see it often, letting it replace some of your old critical thoughts.

From our Founder @Doug Reed ____________________________ My name is Doug, and I am an avid organic gardener, a holistic health lover, and a 9th-generation Son of the American Revolution. I love God, I love America, and I love my family. I also love that you are here! The Holistic American Health Academy was founded on my tireless passion for wellness and freedom. We are not just about Holistic Health. We are about education and awareness. We are about empowering America to reclaim and restore our God-given rights to freedom, autonomy, and wellness toward individual/collective health and abundance. Together, we can help change the course of history and our lives. A little about me: I am 52 years old, and I am the oldest person in my immediate family. My mom died when I was 7 years old, and my Dad passed at age 66 from liver cancer. If I had known back then what I do now, Dad might still be with me! I am pissed off. I am saddened, and I have had enough! Like most Americans, I am tired of watching our fellow patriots, veterans, elders, and children being treated with malice by a system that does not care for their ultimate well-being. We are under attack from every angle; physically, mentally, and emotionally, and the powers that be are profiting from Americaโ€™s suffering. We are fighting evil. Our war is a spiritual warโ€”a war of principles, ethics, and morality. My heart aches for all of you. Your pain is my pain, and mine is yours. My story is your story, and yours is mine. We share this common bond, not for the sake of garnering pity but for the mission of making truth, compassion, and unity the new normal while fulfilling the calling to serve. Human beings are interconnected in ways we donโ€™t fully understand. Despite all the lies and deception being forced upon us, despite being told how to think, and that we have no right to an opinion, you STILL found your way here! You KNOW what the truth is, or you have some extreme suspicions about what youโ€™re being spoon-fed.

The Toxic Truth: What's Really in Your Keurig Kโ€‘Cups?
The "clean and convenient" morning ritual that's leaching plastic into your coffee Every morning, millions of people pop a Kโ€‘Cup into their Keurig machine, trusting the promise of "fresh brewed" coffee and effortless convenience. Since Keurig introduced single serve pods in the late 1990s, they've dominated home and office coffee with claims of consistency, cleanliness, and cafรฉ quality brewing. People feel efficient and modern when they press that button for their personalized cup, believing the sealed pods guarantee freshness and hygiene. But what if the very product you're using for your daily caffeine ritual is actually leaching microplastics and chemicals into your coffee, brewing stale and oxidized grounds, and creating a breeding ground for mold in your machine? Behind Keurig's sleek branding and "ultimate convenience" claims lies a disturbing reality: you're paying premium prices to drink hot plastic infused coffee from months old grounds while generating mountains of waste. Keurig's most insidious marketing strategy is exploiting busy lifestyles and cleanliness concerns while making plasticโ€‘wrapped, stale coffee seem like a luxury upgrade. โ€ข ๐—™๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฑ implies justโ€‘roasted quality when pods often contain coffee that's been sitting for months, oxidizing and losing flavor compounds โ€ข ๐—–๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ positioning makes people overlook the moldy water reservoirs, plastic contact, and environmental waste โ€ข ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜‚๐—บ ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€ (Starbucks, Dunkin', etc.) transfer cafรฉ credibility to inferior pod coffee that tastes nothing like the original โ€ข ๐—–๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ถ๐˜‡๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป language makes single serve seem personalized and special rather than wasteful and expensive โ€ข ๐—ข๐—ณ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ positioning normalizes the machines as professional and hygienic when they're often neglected and contaminated โ€ข ๐—ฉ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜† ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐—ธ๐˜€ create the illusion of choice while locking consumers into proprietary, overpriced pods โ€ข ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜†๐—ฐ๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ฒ claims distract from the reality that most pods end up in landfills due to mixed materials and contamination

This is very helpful! We have a Keurig, but I really just use it for tea, though I do have those reusable plastic K-Cups. I had no idea they made stainless steel ones! Thank you!
