Peace Is Not Proof
We tend to trust what brings relief.
The answer lands.
The body softens.
The noise stops.
Finally—this must be right.
Maybe.
A comforting lie can feel wonderfully aligned.
An inconvenient truth can ruin your afternoon.
Peace may follow clarity.
It may also follow the moment we stop questioning a story we really wanted to keep.
That doesn’t make peace false.
It just makes it a poor referee.
What feels good
and what is true
are allowed to meet.
They are not required to.
Peace is not proof.
