Healing codependency
A codependent relationship is a relationship that exists to serve the unhealed childhood trauma of any of the parties. Sadly, this is more the norm on this planet, rather than the exception.
Unhealed childhood trauma – addiction to be seen.
Roles of a codependent relationship: narcissist (controller) and caretaker (controlled).
Why do the parties engage in it? They both have one specific limiting belief: I’m bad (hence, I need to compromise on being my true self). That’s the main underlying cause.
But there is another important issue - someone else has a monopoly over the meaning of love. And this causes two additional limiting beliefs:
· You will be offered love if you stay
· You will regret stepping out of it
All these need to be dismantled if you want your life to change. Good luck!
