Day 1 HW for the Magnetic Identity Shift Challenge
Through this Identity Shift Challenge exercise and reflection report, I became aware of an old pattern within me — the tendency to manage and control my experiences in order to feel safe.
I noticed how this pattern showed up in my relationship with my body, especially with the ongoing tightness in my head and neck. I often treated these sensations as a problem that needed to be fixed. Every sensation became something to analyze, understand, or get rid of. Even healing itself could become another thing to manage and control.
Today, I recognised that the deeper pattern was not just the physical sensation itself, but my relationship with it — the constant effort to fix, change, and control my experience.
My shift today is moving from trying to control every experience to trusting the wisdom of my body.
From fixing to listening.
From resisting to accepting.
From controlling to allowing.
From seeing my body as a problem to seeing it as a companion on this journey.
Don’t rush to treat the body as a problem that needs to be fixed. Treat it as a process that is expressing itself — something that can be met with presence, compassion, and acceptance.
This is the beginning of a new relationship with my body: not one of fixing, but one of listening and trust.
