Linking domains

Looking for some advice

How do you sort the linking of domains because most of the small business owners I work with, have no idea what their domain settings are, who provides the hosting, so once a new site’s been designed, linking it to their domain could be a problem and a major drain on time, resources and money

I’m reasonably technical but I still find it a bit of a ball ache to set it up and get it working, and linking email? Well that’s more fun and games too 😩

I considered buying closely related domains and linking the new smart website to that but quite a few of my clients have sign written vans, that already advertise their current domain so that won’t work

Any help would be appreciated
