“The Keeper’s Courage” 🧤⚽️
I stood my ground between the posts,
My heart was brave, my hands were ghosts.
The ball came fast — I didn’t blink,
Just one hard thud — no time to think.
It smacked my face, a mighty whack,
The crowd went quiet, echoing back.
My eyes welled up, I fought the tears,
The sting rang loud between my ears.
But goalkeepers aren’t made to fall,
We stand up proud, we save it all.
A little pain, a little red,
Won’t stop the fire inside my head.
So next time that ball comes my way,
I’ll dive again — come what may.
For bruises fade, but courage stays,
And heroes rise on matchday days.
