Rain didn't stop play!

Freya played her heart out today and earned herself parents player trophy at the end of the game. She put in some absolutely fantastic saves and I couldn't be prouder of her for holding her nerve and being solid during the game despite a number of balls hitting the back of the net.

We went through three pairs of gloves 😂😂. You can't beat a little superstar running over in the short break and a mad rush to try and change them over.

She was a little bit upset at the end by the goals that went in but the way the game played out and how some of the goals were scored today made for an absolutely fantastic car journey home conversation. She was so focused on listening and already worked out what we need to work on.

End score 8-6 to the opposition but a great game. Dropped a photo in of her making a dive going towards the lower corner. Also heard the opposition parents at the end saying how good she is and how they always have a battle to get the ball past her in the games. They were so happy for her when they saw her get a trophy for her efforts. This is how it should be at a young age.
