Jack had a funny game this last weekend. His team had loads of possession and the ball lived in the other team’s half. I don’t think this was instructed by his coach but he ended up playing very high for most of the game and doing a lot of sweeping. He even created a goal winning a ball up the sideline probably closer to midfield than to his box.
This was an odd one to edit. He was so far from the goal all game. Even if it was maybe more aggressive positioning than is optimal, I like the experience he took. Figuring out the timing on when to go win the ball and when to retreat, how to cover balls over the top when your team is playing a high line. Recognizing danger and making good decisions
