Tournament game 2
Jack played a really nice game. A couple unlucky goals and the team didn’t capitalize on some early chances had them lose this one.

Tournament game 1
Jack’s team went 1-1-1 in their tournament this weekend. The game they lost was a bit of a coin flip and could have gone the other way. Here is game 1. They won this one 4-1

Jack reads danger very well and applies pressure on the attacker. It’s something I notice in watching his games that he does better than a lot of his peers.

Jack has a tournament this weekend in St Louis. No reason to not go into tournaments and see if you can win it.
Game highlights and learning experience
This game was a good learning experience for Jack. They ended up losing pretty badly but were tied 3-3 with about 10 minutes left in the game. After the other team took a 4-3 lead, Jack was encouraging his team to play higher and he started playing very high outside of his box. He usually is a pretty aggressive goalkeeper but he got a little carried away. They got totally opened up and he conceded a bunch of goals where his positioning was way too high. The other team countered and scored from distance multiple times. I liked his will and mentality in that moment but his overly aggressive positioning let him down. It was a good lesson about how goalkeeper can help their team late in the game when their team needs to push for a goal. That it’s not about just pushing forward and playing high up the field. A couple days later(I never give this type of feedback immediately after games) we had a good conversation about how to position yourself to be able to cover your team playing a higher line than usual but also maintaining your positioning to still be able to recover and be in good goalkeeping position, if the team progresses into your end with control. He also went forward for a corner in the final minute with a big smile on his face, even though his team was down 4 goals. They are 10 and thought that was fun, so he didn't let this get him down.
Game Wednesday night
Won our Wednesday night game 5-3. Faced a penalty but didn’t save it.
