So an interesting stat from the world cup.

Only one of the Morocco squad was actually born in Morocco. Now obviously they have Moroccan heritage to be able to play for the country. One of their players was born in France went to the French football academy as was touted to play for France after this world cup. He decided he wanted to play now so aligned with Morocco.

Another fact from this world cup is that there are 93 players playing on this world cup that were born in France.

We even have Michael olise playing for France who was born and raised in England.

I thought it was an interesting stat around heritage and nationalities
