Excercises
What are some light excercises i can do with baby gravy like shes strong for her age when she gets excited she pulls note i had her in a nylon halter that was when i first got her so not her fault or mine i wasnt sure abiut alot of things mostly caus ei didnt know her yet shes a sweetie pie and a massive cuddle bug has typical mare look always pins ears never bites or kicks.i can walk with her food she will walk with me ears pinned once again no biting or being mean at all she pins her ears when i clean her feet no kicking or pulling away but i call her name ears forward and trots up to me now i have not had her for long at all she arroved the 15th of this month so im looking for some bonding excercises i can do other than just sitting with her since shes a baby id like to do something that will keep her baby brain busy i groom clean feet sit qith her ive taken her on walks and she did not pull at all she stayed by my side so im chalking up the pulling to terrible halter, babybrain and alot of excitement cause when i took her out she was an angel she stands but obviously gets impatient so thats something she knows verbal cues not all that great but knows them thinking of starting liberty maybe with a clicker or something but i still need options for soem good treats or any kind of food i can use for it as a reward shes had a saddle on and a bridle not for long but made no fuss this was when previous owner had her she is not ridden and it was a very light trail saddle she had a bridle with no bit on by me just let me slip it on was such an angel i can do her feet without a halter she has a ball and some toys but im not sure if she plays with it or its the wind moving it so any bonding siggestions would be great sorry for the long post just wanted to include all also starting to see some of that big draft in her body refereing to pic added

When to introduce a new subject
Hi Zoe, this morning i was doing hq, forehand yields and back ups with zeus using my hands. When i rub him all over he seems relaxed, but as soon as I apply pressure he starts bracing and nipping. I have no introduced the block which helps but also doesn’t really tell him to back off yet. As you know we have recently done the yields with the stick and some rhythmic pressure. Now i am just wondering, should i keep at these exercises until he softens before i move on, or do i start peppering in some other exercises in the meantime. Not sure if he is telling me if he is bored of the same conversation over and over again, or does he truly not understand yet what yielding to pressure means?
Cribbing Query?
So.... my horses have never cribbed, gnawed their fence/paddock... noticed today sudden gnawing along the fencing😟 I know its hard at mo as hardly any grass... its been awful with the endless rainy days too, so they have been having plenty of extra food/hay.... I am trying to keep them in this winter paddock til end of March as their spring/summer fields are wet through but this is their usual routine so nothing different ( apart from the new horse being here-she has been here nearly a year) The new TB horse next to them is young, 6 on her own a lot and cribbing all the time!!! Do you think they are mirroring her? I noticed Percy today actually doing it in front of me so I told him no! He did listen and walked away. But I noticed storm doing it too so know its both of them😟🐴 I have added some leccy fencing on the top line to prevent and ordered some spray but wondered if it is mirroring the other horse as never had this before? Thoughts? ☺️🐴
