First steps at home
As promised a photo and video bomb of Summer his arrival at home. He was all wet when he came from the trailer. She had closed everything off because of the trucks on the highway. Sum was so impressed with all the sounds and impressions that we kept him on the paddock in stead of the pasture. So he could land a bit. Tomorrow morning we will move him again next to the ladies who are in de pasture next to him so they can get used to each other. We will look at the what's and how's everyday. I dont want to rush him. (One of the photo's you will see Boudine our stable owners yearling Groninger mare).

@Cheg Darlington I'm so so happy😊. Tomorrow morning I'm going to put him out before work, and go back straight after work🥰

@Zoë Coade just going to take it easy with him😊. First thing I asked Evelien, and she was happy to bring him, so she could see where his new house would be and to see where Kenzi lived. Thank you🥰
🐴 GET GOOD HORSEMANSHIP TIP 29.
✨Getting good with horses comes at a cost. Not just a financial one, but also a personal one. Because real horsemanship asks more of you than just showing up, it asks you to grow. It costs you: - your ego - when things don’t go the way you expected - your comfort - when you realize you need to change, not the horse - your patience - when progress is slower than you’d like - your habits - when what you’ve always done no longer fits - your certainty - when you start questioning what you thought you knew - your time - because rushing no longer feels right And sometimes it costs you the version of yourself that just wanted it to be easy. But what you gain is so much more including greater clarity, connection, trust, and a horse that can truly understand you. So my tip is simply knowing all of the above and being okay with it. ❓Question: What are you willing to Get Good at letting go of to become better for your horse? Zoë🐴✨🫶

My panic brain. It doesn't help Sum and it definitely doesn't help me. And I know it won't change over night, but being aware of it and stopping it when I'm realizing I'm spiraling is stap one.❤️🫶🏽

@Hyuck June Kang Funny that your friends keep asking you if you quit drinking. Your priorities just changed and that's okay. You are doing amazing! Keep it up!🙏🏼
🤎 It’s Thursday - what’s the plan?
✨ We’re heading into the weekend and I’m curious what are you and your horse(s) getting up to? A ride, groundwork, a quiet groom and reset or maybe something you’ve been putting off and finally ready to begin? Sometimes just having a little intention going into the weekend changes everything. So tell me - what’s your plan over the next few days? 🐴✨🫶

Just one day left
Maybe I'm exaggerating but tomorrow Summer wil be moved to my stable close to home. And a barley slept last night. I'm so excited and scared at the same time. Besides of you all and Zoë I do have no one on my stable that can help. (In working with him because they think differently and that is fine ofcourse). Scared that he maybe freak out. Scared that he won't make friends. My brain is starting to get down that rabbit hole. Anyone ideas to stop my brain of frying itself? Am I the only one who panics at these moments? 🫣

@Hyuck June Kang Thank you! We are lucky that we could keep our spot when Kenzi died. It's so lovely over their. The place where he is right now is a 30-40 minute drive. So after 4 months I'm happy he will be in a 5 minutes drive from my house and 15 from work. I wish for you that there will be a moment when you can move Ssemi close to your house as well❤️🙏🏼

I'm Kimberly, I had a beautiful Appaloosa mare Kenzi who was my first mentor. Just bought and started with our 1,5year old gelding Summer.
