Me Again- Pepper Plant Drama

So I split my pepper plants (bought as double plant in single bucket) and put them in containers today. One of the plants got less of the root ball and original dirt mixture. It has been limp and lifeless since I planted it. I staked both plants, as they were leaning over without the support of the other plant. Please tell me plant #2 is just being a Drama Queen, and will recover.
