Australia is now on the forever runner map ;)
I think I’m the first Australian on the map. ;) I live in Brisbane and didn’t start running until 56 years old. I’m now 61. Been off running for a few months but starting back with hill walking. I have a high heart rate when I run so looking at trying a different approach this time around. Have had every test going and have no issues with my heart. In fact I have 0 calcium score and carotid arteries are great too.
But it’s quite frustrating. I’m not interested in marathons just 5k runs but get tired, I assume because my heart rate is so high, by about 3km so could never quite reach my goal of a 30 min 5k.
Possibly because I started so late in life, I have aerobic deficiency syndrome?
