Do you remember Jay and May? They used to hate each other at school, but now they’re getting married. I couldn’t believe it. They fought all the time, and I always heard from May that she really disliked him.
So here’s the tea. One day they called me and asked me to make their wedding cake. It was my first time making a wedding cake. They wanted a three-layer chocolate and chocolate-strawberry cake.
Everything seemed fine at first, but then life threw me a curveball. I wasted a lot of butter and sugar, and I couldn’t get the buttercream right. I used so many ingredients, but nothing worked. I was so disappointed and upset.
The juicy part was that I almost gave up. I really wanted to call them and say, “I’m so sorry, but maybe you should ask a professional baker to make the cake instead.”
But here comes the twist. My husband comforted me. He had never done that before. He told me to go for a walk, take a deep breath, buy more ingredients, and try again.
And it worked. The cake turned out beautiful, and everyone loved it.
The cherry on top was that my son was the flower boy at the wedding.
Honestly, it was the best wedding I have ever seen.
