Final round interview Advice
I made it to the final round interview for a sports medicine role at an orthopedic device company. I’ll be interviewing with the Executive VP, and possibly the Sales Director. I want to prepare as thoroughly as possible, and not give them a reason to give the job to someone else. Based off anyone’s experience, what questions from these individuals should I most likely expect to answer? Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Describing a situation where I had to pivot my approach after facing an unexpected challenge
S: I was working with a medically complex patient who was highly motivated to get out of be and sit up in her wheelchair. The patient had multiple medical issues, but her desire to be more independent was clear. After transferring her into the chair, she experienced a syncopal episode shortly afterward. T: My immediate goal was to respond quickly and safely to the syncopal episode, ensuring the patient's safety and coordinating with the healthcare team to get her the necessary care. A: As soon as the patient became symptomatic, I immediately called for assistance to help transfer patient back to bed, ensuring that we minimized the risk of injury during the process. Once the patient was safely back in bed, I ensured her vital signs were checked and I communicated all relevant information to the Rapid Response Team. R: The team effort allowed for a swift, coordinated response, preventing any injury or further complications for the patient. T: This experience reinforced my ability to stay composed under pressure, adjust my treatment plan in real-time, and respond quickly in a medical emergency. It also demonstrated the importance of collaboration and clear communication with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcome for the patient.

START RESPONSE TO ACHIEVING MAJOR RESULT
S: I was asked, along with a co-worker, to develop an educational presentation on Mobility Training, due to the rise in workplace injuries and patient falls. T: Our goal was to create a comprehensive and engaging presentation that would educate nursing staff on the importance of mobility training, proper body mechanics, and safe transfer techniques. A: Researched best practices for mobility training and patient handling, ensuring the content aligned with hospital policies and safety guidelines. Designed an interactive presentation, incorporating demonstrations, and real-life case scenarios to engage the audience. Provided hands-on demonstrations and encouraged participation to reinforce proper transfer techniques and injury prevention strategies. R: The training was well received by the nursing staff, leading to increased awareness of proper mobility techniques and noticeable improvement in safe patient handling practices. T: This experience demonstrated my ability to develop and implement effective training programs, collaborate across departments and drive positive outcomes in patient care and workplace safety.
Thoughts and Advice for a Hiring Manger Interview
I have an hour long video interview with a hiring manager on Monday. Thoughts on having a 30-60-90 day plan prepared to pull up? All my video interviews have been 30 minutes not an hour so there was no time to present other information. I've always presented my 30-60-90 day plan in an in person interview with an entire presentation. I was thinking it would be best to have this slide or maybe one extra showing how they envision me in this role. Thoughts/advice?
