Runners have new pains all of the time. Most of them go away quickly and we forget about them. But sometimes we ignore certain pains for too long and then we have dug ourselves a big hole that is much harder (and slower) to get out of.
Before immediately deciding whether to freak out or ignore the new pain, it is always best to try to learn what it could be.
