I have started checking every single ingredient when I do my groceries. Never knew that even bread has sodium! Now, I look for bread which has the least amount of sodium. Soy sauce- low sodium. I have become mindful of the meat I buy. I eat everything but no processed meat unless I eat out. My CKD reason is because of stones. So, what works for me might not work for everyone else. But looking at ingredients while buying groceries has definitely helped me.
