Kidney size
My left kidney has shrunken a little. Stage 4 CKD. eGFR 28, slowly increasing.
Problem of RECURRING stones
Hi Doctor, I wanted to share a bit about why I joined. My sister has been dealing with kidney stones since 2014. She had stones in both kidneys and underwent surgery at that time. Since then, the stones have kept recurring. We are now worried about her long-term kidney health and want to understand how to better manage and prevent this condition. Recently, we decided to run some tests (PTH, Lipid Profile, Ultrasound, KFT, Urine C/S, Thyroid Profile) to better understand the underlying cause behind this repeated stone formation. I would like to share the test results here (pdf form). Any advice or guidance would mean a lot to us.

I have the same issue. Kidney stones caused an obstructive CKD in my case. Unsure how to keep kidney stones at bay.
Hi!
I am Nikita, 33 years old. I have an obstructive CKD. My eGFR is currently 28, and has been rising. But I am unsure how much it will rise. Creatinine is 1.9 at the moment. And my blood pressure is completely under control. Hypertension came from the kidney issue and not the other way around. I am very keen to keep myself updated with what has been happening with my kidney function. I live in Sydney and I am on their medical system. But I want to make sure I am doing everything right to keep myself updated kidney function as better as possible even with the low eGFR.
